Performance: New Mexico School for the Arts | Latitudes & Interruptions
April 4 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The New Mexico School for the Arts presents latitudes & interruptions on April 4, 2019, at 6pm at form & concept gallery. The evening will feature new, experimental, & collaborative student work that aims to push the boundaries of art-making in the current day and break down the barriers between performative, visual, & language-based art forms.
Students will draw upon the robust history of the so-called “avant garde” in presenting work that represents the latest trends in contemporary art-making. Featured in the evening’s event will be music, video, interactive technologies, spoken word, & immersive performance.
latitudes & interruptions is co-curated by Kurt Isaacson, Chair of the Music Department at NMSA, and Santa Fe-based actor & vocalist Tara Khozein. This is the pilot performance of what will become a month-long series that NMSA will present at form & concept gallery in Fall 2019, which will connect students with local, experimental artists and incubate new ideas and approaches to creating art.
