Artist Talk: Heidi Brandow: 5–7 P.M.
On August 29 from 5–7 p.m, join Heidi K. Brandow as she discusses The Language of Place, a group exhibition that explores place as a mode of understanding and features mixed media painting by Heidi Brandow (Diné & Kānaka Maoli); photography by Shaarbek Amankul (Indigenous Kyrgyz); beadwork and photography by Tom Jones (Ho-Chunk); Indigenous Kyrgyzstani textiles designed by Amankul and Brandow and made by Kyrgyzstani and Uzbekistani artisans; and a pair of moccasins handmade by Clementine Bordeaux (Sičáŋǧu Lakótapi [Rosebud Sioux Tribe]).
