Artist Talk: Future Retrieval: 2–3 P.M.

24 January 2026
Overview
435 S. Guadalupe St.
On 24 January from 2–3 P.M., join Guy Michael Davis of Future Retrieval (Davis and Katie Parker) for an artist talk about Underground World Experience, the collaborating artists' debut solo exhibition in New Mexico, featuring desert masonry, hand-cut paper assemblages, and a hand-knotted wool textile inspired by their residency at Taliesin West. During the talk, Davis will share how the collaboration Future Retrieval came to be, how the collaboration engages with museum collections and art history, as well as insights about medium choice and technical process. Join us for the rare opportunity to better understand the intersection of fine art, design, craft, and research through the contemporary practice of two of the Southwest’s most notable interdisciplinary artists.
