“Paradise burns, we check our phones,”
-Jenny Day
A Feast to Remember is a sprawling mixed media exhibition that features monumental paintings and fanciful ceramic creatures by Santa Fe-based interdisciplinary artist Jenny Day. Day’s immersive banquet installation, populated by a menagerie of mixed media animal, sets the stage for a roundtable discussion on humanity’s place in and culpability for the natural world’s current state.
A Feast to Remember challenges viewers to consider humanity’s untapped potential for good, its capacity for growth, and its bountiful creativity as resources to solve the most pressing issue of our era: climate change.
This exhibition also features print selections from the Zane Bennett Contemporary Art collection. Works on paper by Nicky Nodjoumi, Nusra Qureshi, Louise Nevelson and others capture tense dynamics between the human-built and natural worlds.
