Amie LeGette was born in 1985 and grew up in Northern California. She received her MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of New Mexico with a Graduate Certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies in 2021, and her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2010. She has exhibited at Ellsworth Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Michael Strogoff Gallery in Marfa, TX, Carl & Sloan in Portland, OR and various other venues nationally and internationally. She lived at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology in Oregon in 2014 and in 2016 was a finalist with the wilderness arts program Signal Fire. She currently lives and works in Glorieta, New Mexico.
